UPCOMING EVENTS
November PTO Meeting, 7pm WEDNESDAY

Join us online! All are welcome!

Our monthly Bowman PTO meetings are a time for the board, committee members, and any parent or caregiver in the Bowman Community to meet directly with our Principal, Vice Principal, and teacher representatives. We will begin with an update from our Principal, Ms. Corduck and Vice Principal, Mr. Hill and you will have an opportunity to ask questions. The board will then provide updates on how the PTO is doing and what we’re up to in the coming months. We hope to see you there!

PTO Membership Update

A big THANK YOU to all who have joined the Bowman PTO so far this year. Approximately 55% of families have already joined as PTO members for 2025-2026. Help us get to 85%!!

The Bowman PTO supports school programs, funds teacher supplies and staff recognition activities, and organizes community events. We raise approximately $150 per child per year. The PTO is self-sustaining and relies entirely on parent volunteers. Membership is free, but your donation to the PTO now reduces the need for additional fundraising asks throughout the year! Contributions at all levels are welcome.

LEXSEPTA Parent Liaison Needed

We’re looking for a LEXSEPTA Volunteer Liaison to help strengthen connections between families, the PTO, and LEXSEPTA. The role involves supporting parents who want to get involved and helping foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for all SPED families.

This flexible, behind-the-scenes position is perfect for someone who enjoys organizing and connecting people. If you’re interested or want to learn more, please reach out to president@bowmanpto.org.

Safe Routes to School Parent Liaison Needed

We’re also looking for a parent volunteer to serve as Bowman’s Safe Routes to School Liaison. This role works closely with our Bowman staff representative and the LPS Safe Routes to School team to help coordinate fun and meaningful events that encourage students to walk, bike, and roll safely to school.

CORI Check Reminder

Please remember that it is district policy that anyone who volunteers (lunch, Big Backyard, library, Room Helpers, PTO events, etc) in our school must have a CORI check completed by Lexington Public Schools. CORI checks are good for 3 years.

For any questions regarding the CORI check, please email Mrs. Ashness (cashness@lexingtonma.org) or Mrs. Barnes (bbarnes@lexingtonma.org) in our Main Office. Do your CORI check now so you do not miss the fun - this can take up to 30 days!

LHS BUILDING PROJECT UPDATE
TONIGHT - Show Your Support for the New LHS at Town Meeting

This evening at Cary Hall, Town Meeting will vote to approve the high school project scope - this is the final hurdle before the town-wide debt exclusion vote on December 8.

Let’s fill the balcony with the faces of the students who will benefit from a new modern school! We need to show that our community stands behind this project and our students. It may be a late night, but it’s an amazing chance for kids to see democracy in action.

📅 Monday, Nov. 3 at 7:30pm – Cary Hall Balcony

💙💛 Wear blue and yellow to show your support!

Your presence makes a difference—thank you for showing up for our kids!

And don’t forget to VOTE YES on December 8!
