Dear Bowman Community As another school year draws to a close, our hearts are full. This community continues to amaze us, and we couldn't let the year end without taking a moment to say thank you. Year after year, this community shows up; this year was no different. Through PTO membership contributions, participation in events and fundraisers, and the generosity of our corporate sponsors (many of them Bowman families), you made it possible for every dollar raised to flow right back into our school, enriching our students’ experiences, strengthening our community, supporting our classrooms, and celebrating our staff who give so much to our kids. This year, the PTO supported field trip costs, supplemental classroom supplies, and found some fun new ways to show our Bowman staff how much they mean to us, including an ice cream truck during Teacher Appreciation Week and a Bowman-branded YETI rambler for every staff member. We also brought our community together through a wonderful lineup of events: the Welcome Picnic, Disco Bingo, Movie Night, the Student Entrepreneur Marketplace, and finally this week, our inaugural Foam Frenzy Fun Run! (Join us Wednesday!) Each event has filled our school with laughter, energy, and joy, and we have loved witnessing firsthand everything that makes Bowman so special. Of course, none of this happens without our volunteers. Behind every event, every initiative, and every small moment of magic this year was a volunteer making it happen. From designing our monthly PTO bulletin board and planting flowers at the school entrance, to planning events, working in the library, wrangling corporate sponsors, leading clubs, and organizing fundraisers, we see you, and we are so grateful. Your time, energy, and love for this community mean more than words can say. Thank you, truly. We also want to take a moment to give a shout out to our outgoing co-presidents, Kessie Avseikova and Natasha Zeb, who are stepping down after completing their two-year terms. The energy, warmth, and dedication they've brought to Bowman have left a lasting mark on our community, and we are so thankful for everything they've given. At the same time, we are thrilled to welcome Amulya Panyam as incoming co-president. She has some big shoes to fill, and we have no doubt she's up to the task! Looking ahead, next year is already taking shape and we’d love for you to be part of it. We’re actively looking for volunteers in fundraising, event planning, communications, and membership. If you’re even a little bit curious, we’d love to chat. Just fill out the form below and one of us will be in touch. Until then, we wish you a joyful, sun-filled summer! Thank you for being part of our community and thank you for reading. See you in September! With gratitude,
Natasha Zeb, Kessie Ausiaikova, Tzu-Wei Powers Your Bowman PTO Co-Presidents |

Class of 2026 Yard Signs Class of 2026 yard signs will be available for pick up from the driveway of 235 Worthen Road E, Lexington starting at 5 pm on June 1st, and will be sent home on Boston buses this week. One yard sign is available to every family and was purchased using 5th grade funds collected by Bowman PTO. Pick-up is on an honor system.
*Note, the yard signs are a thin "plastic bag" type material on a stand, chosen to be more eco-friendly compared to the hard plastic yard signs. These are larger but more cost effective so we were able to purchase a sign for every family. |
Disco Bingo & Class Basket Raffle Another year, another amazing, GLOWing night of dancing and bingo-ing! Bowman families filled our school with fun, laughter and cheer as we grooved to the music in the gym and stamped our way through bingo call outs! Thanks to your support, we raised over $5200 for our school and every dollar has gone right back into the remaining events and support needed for this school year. Shout outs and THANK YOUS to Terri Santos and Kessie Avseikova, who planned, orchestrated, and knocked it out of the park with both Disco Bingo and the Class Basket Raffle this year! Thank you to the volunteers who helped to set up, run, and clean up the day of the event. And congratulations to our class basket winners! |
| Teacher Appreciation Week We are so grateful for our Staff Appreciation team! Throughout the year, they come up with new and thoughtful ways to show our Bowman staff how much we value and appreciate them. Then they cap it off at the end the school year with an entire week of events during National Teacher Appreciation week. This year, our teachers and staff were treated to an ice cream truck, specialty coffees, a short but relaxing massage, and treats from the community. Thank you to our Staff Appreciation team! |
